Console Repair in Omaha, Lincoln or by Mail for Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Grand Island, Kearney and Beyond

There aren’t many shops that do board-level console repair like HDMI ports, power ICs and microsoldering, so customers regularly drive to us from western Iowa and central Nebraska. Gamers even had a Sioux City store for a while. We don’t have a location in these towns, but here’s how to get a repair done in a single trip, or with no trip at all.

Sioux City and western Iowa

Sioux City is roughly an hour and a half from Omaha on I-29. The most efficient trip is to call or text (402) 703-4403 before you leave, then bring it to our Omaha location for same-day repair. Tell us the model and symptoms so we can check we have the part, and you can head home with a working console the same day. Council Bluffs customers are just across the river, so our Omaha location is the obvious choice.

Grand Island, Kearney and central Nebraska

From Grand Island (about an hour and a half on I-80) or Kearney (about two hours), you can come to Omaha for same-day service or to our Lincoln store. Lincoln repairs take 3–5 days, so plan to ship it home or combine pickup with your next trip east. If you’d rather not make the drive twice, mail-in is often easiest. Ship it in, and we ship it back free.

Make the trip count

  • Call ahead with the exact model (e.g. PS5 Slim digital, Switch OLED) so we can confirm parts are in stock.
  • Bring what’s related to the problem: the HDMI cable for no-signal issues, the dock for docking problems, the controller for pairing problems.
  • Bring everything at once. Drifting controllers and retro carts with dead save batteries can ride along.
  • Remove discs and game cards, and know your console login.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a store in Sioux City, Grand Island or Kearney?

No. We serve those areas through our two locations, Omaha (same day) and Lincoln, plus mail-in repair. We don’t have a location in those towns.

What’s the fastest option if I’m driving in from Sioux City?

Call or text (402) 703-4403 before you leave, then bring it to our Omaha location for same-day repair so you can take the console home the same day.

Is mail-in cheaper than driving in?

Mail-in diagnosis is free ($40 only if the item can’t be repaired), and return shipping is always free. For long drives it’s often the easier option.
