Video Game Console Repair in Lincoln and Omaha, NE, Plus Mail-In

Game Repair Shop is the repair counter inside the Gamers store at 2711 King Ln, Suite 202, in north Lincoln. Bring in a PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, controller or retro system, tell us what it’s doing, and we’ll diagnose it. The $25 drop-off fee goes toward the repair, and you get a quote before any work starts.

We’ve repaired consoles in Nebraska for years. Owner David Mitchell started fixing systems at 14, and his board-level repair videos are on our YouTube channel. Board-level work (HDMI ports, power ICs, microsoldering) is what we focus on, and it’s work many general phone-repair shops send out.

What we repair in Lincoln and Omaha

How repair works in Lincoln, Omaha and by mail

Here’s how a Lincoln drop-off works. Omaha follows the same steps with free diagnosis and same-day turnaround, and mail-ins are covered on the mail-in page.

  1. Drop off. Bring the console (and the cable or controller if the problem involves it). No appointment needed.
  2. Diagnosis ($25, credited to the repair). We open it up and find the cause, whether that’s a cracked HDMI port, a failed power IC or simply a clogged fan.
  3. Quote and approval. We call or text you with the price. Nothing is repaired until you say yes.
  4. Repair and test. We test video output, power cycling, controllers and disc reads before we call you.
  5. Pick up. Your repair has a 30-day limited warranty.

Lincoln in-store repairs take 3 to 5 days. There’s a $25 fee at drop-off, and it’s credited toward your repair when you go ahead. Need it back today? See our same-day Omaha service.
