We repair the original Switch, Switch OLED and Switch Lite, plus Joy-Cons, at our counter inside the Gamers store on King Ln.
Won’t dock, won’t charge, no TV output
If the Switch charges only one way, won’t show on the TV, or kills docks, the cause is usually the USB-C port or the charging/video chips (such as the BQ24193 or M92T36 power-delivery ICs), often damaged by third-party docks. These are microsoldering repairs.
Screens, card readers, batteries
- Cracked or dead LCD/OLED screens and digitizers
- Game card reader and microSD reader connectors
- Battery, fan and overheating issues
Joy-Con and Switch Lite drift
Drift happens when the stick’s internal contacts wear. Recalibrating in System Settings → Controllers and Sensors can help for a while; the real fix is a new stick module. On a Switch Lite the sticks are built in, so repair is usually the cheaper route. More in controller repair Lincoln.
Before you bring it in
If it still boots, turn on Nintendo Switch Online save data cloud backup if you use it. Bring the dock and charger if the problem involves docking or charging.
